Tricia Montgomery is dedicated to transforming animal welfare, veterinary care, and the pet industry. After a 130-pound weight-loss journey with her dog Louie, she embraced the human–animal bond and launched her career at the Chicago Veterinary Medical Association, where she led public-health initiatives and community response programs. She later founded K9 Fit Club®, the first science-based fitness program for people and pets, creating formats like Pupilates™ and Bow Wow Bootcamp. Scaling to 83 locations in two years, K9 Fit Club won Purina’s Pet Care Innovation Prize and gained national media attention on the Today Show, Fox News, GMA, USA Today, and The Washington Post. Tricia then served as CEO of PAWS Humane Society, where she doubled donations, launched a Pet Food Pantry, turned the clinic profitable, and built programs that improved outcomes for pets and people. Today, as President of PMonty Consulting, she advises companies, nonprofits, and municipalities across the animal ecosystem, including global planning with NEOM. She also founded Moose’s March, a 501(c)(3) for early detection of pet cancer, honoring her dog Moose. A writer for PetMD, co-host of the Pets Are Family podcast, and co-author of Better You, Better Dog, Better Life, she continues to innovate in animal welfare while supporting Gulf Coast Humane Society’s fundraising and partnerships.
