Every four to five years in Alberta, residents are able to draw rifle mule deer tags in the southern part of the province. This year both Jason and Kevin Spenst have drawn rifle tags and they’re planning two trips to search for mature bucks. In Part 1, Kevin has seen a few really good mature deer, but he just can’t seem to put it all together to get the job done. With time running out on the first hunt, it’s down to the last night to try and close the distance before dark.
