n April 2004, filmmaker Patty Mooney of New & Unique Videos joined her 82-year-old mother, Magi, on a journey to Washington, D.C., for a monumental event: the March for Women’s Lives on April 25th. Armed with a professional Sony digital camera, tripod, and press pass, Patty captured the spirit of 1.2 million participants in what was then the largest march in U.S. history. Now, with the fight for reproductive rights reignited by the overturning of Roe v. Wade, Patty has remastered and re-edited her powerful documentary, My Choice: March for Women’s Lives 2004, to remind us of the passion, unity, and resilience of that unforgettable day. My Choice has been honored with 13 international film festival awards, cementing its place as a powerful and poignant record of a pivotal moment in history. This documentary is more than a celebration of the past—it’s a rallying cry for the present and future.
