Born in Guinea, West Africa, on Independence Day, Maic Da Great, originally named Ahmed, carries a rich musical heritage from the Wolof tribe in Senegal. Relocating to the U.S. with his mother, he immersed himself in Philadelphia's diverse music scene. Founder of Hi Society, he's won numerous showcases and hosts a TV show on Brooklyn Public Access.
