A giant ape has been kept alive in a research facility for years, but a failing heart forces scientists to attempt a risky procedure. When a rare blood match is found in another captured giant ape, the plan backfires, and the two creatures break free, drawing a dangerous pursuit and leaving chaos in their wake.
