Steven, an average 20-something corporate email jockey who moved to the big city for work, finds his roommate Mike dead in their apartment. The police believe the death to be suicide, but Steven has his doubts as he falls into a wild conspiracy dotted with tinfoil-hatters and shady patrons of the "arts", alongside Maddie, Mike's ex-situationship turned new flame, who may know more about the death than she lets on.
