Waterworld

After the polar ice caps melt, Earth becomes a vast ocean where survivors live on floating settlements and trade for scarce resources. A lone seafarer helps a woman and a child escape captivity, only to be chased across the open water by ruthless pirates who believe the child carries the key to a legendary place of dry land.
