In the aftermath of World War II, a group of German prisoners is sent to a Soviet women-run prison camp where resentment runs high and guards try to identify those responsible for wartime atrocities. As suspicion and punishment spread, uneasy bonds form, forcing both captors and captives to weigh survival against mercy, revenge, and the possibility of unexpected connection.
