The Inevitable Defeat of Mister & Pete

Two kids in a Brooklyn housing project are suddenly left on their own for the summer when their mothers are taken away by authorities. With little money and no safe adults to rely on, they try to stay fed, avoid being separated, and navigate a neighborhood full of hard choices and close calls.
