During England’s civil war, a handful of deserters stumble into an isolated field and are seized by a commanding figure who forces them to hunt for a buried treasure. After an unsettling meal and a strange encounter with a mushroom ring, fear and suspicion spread, and the search turns into a disorienting ordeal shaped by paranoia and the field’s ominous pull.
