Panacea is a futuristic short drama — winner at the LA Live Film Festival 2023 and official selection at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival through the Latino Filmmakers Network, the Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festival, the Chicano International Film Festival, and the Central American International Film Festival (CAIFF) 2017. A struggling, underrated actor decides the time has come. He throws a farewell party for the people in his life — but in the world this film inhabits, departure carries a weight beyond the ordinary. A thought-provoking drama about the intricate choices that define a life, and the question of when enough is enough. Written, directed, produced, and starring Carlos Moreno Jr. — a 70+ credit actor known for voicing four characters in Academy Award-winning Pixar film Coco, and for appearances on 9-1-1, ER, Dexter, Major Crimes, Transformers, and more. Also the creator of Pepito's America Mamadas, which has received two consecutive years of Emmy consideration and is exclusively on Red Coral Universe. Free with ads.
