In 1964 Vietnam, American military advisers are sent to reoccupy a remote outpost and support local forces, even as doubts grow about the mission’s purpose. As pressure mounts and alliances strain, the unit confronts the grim sense that they’re repeating earlier mistakes made on the same ground.
