After the passing of his father, Maurice returns home for the first time in over a decade. Back in James County, the fictional 10th bay area county, he’s confronted with the void his father’s death left in an already hurting community as well as the ramifications of his own departure, all while already being amidst his own personal search for purpose. Maurice had lost his belief in the people of the community to make things better. Throughout what becomes the longest 5 days of his life, Maurice has his eyes forced open to the power he and the people possess. | We have completed principal photography and progressing in the Post Production process with our eyes on a Mid 2026 release. A significant portion of the budget was raise through in-kind donations. Between in-kind and monetary contributions, we've raised over 75% of the listed budget. All principal photography costs and debts have been paid, we are looking for funding to support our innovative release strategy as well as cover music licensing fees. Access to a theater or alternative screening/event venue in or near the following areas would be a major in-kind contribution or potential collaboration: Denver, Tuscon, Portland, Memphis, Charlotte, Atlanta, Tulsa, Birmingham, Baltimore, D.C, or Miami. The film is spearheaded by a dynamic trio of directors: Dania Denise, Claire Evans, and HT. The collaborative aspects of the project are the reason we're able to create a work worth exponentially more than it cost to make while also ensuring that the art tells a distinct, heartfelt story rooted in reality and hope for a better world. The cast features a wonderful blend of experienced actors, rising thespians, and regional creatives that work off one another to create several "moments in time" that will make this film even more memorable.
