In a small Sicilian town where divorce is illegal, an unhappy husband becomes obsessed with a much younger relative and looks for a loophole in the law. He hatches a darkly comic plan to manufacture scandal and “honor” so he can escape his marriage, but his scheme keeps running into complications.
